Bloody Berry cocktail

It’s Halloween season! Inspired by the classic Bloody Mary cocktail, we make it with a delicious fruity twist! This Bloody Berry cocktail is perfect for lovers of cocktails both with and without alcohol and for those who don’t mind a bit of a ‘bloody mess’. The cocktail has a fruity and spicy taste that will tingle your taste buds, and is made with Beekers Berries strawberries.

INGREDIENTS & SUPPLIES

For 1 cocktail | 20 minutes preparation time

 

Ingredients
  • 40 ml vodka (for the alcoholic version) or 60 ml mineral water (for the non-alcoholic version)
  • 6 fresh Beekers Berries strawberries
  • 15 g sugar
  • 100 ml tomato juice
  • Few drops of Tabasco
  • Few drops of Worcestershire sauce
  • Tablespoon of water
  • Ice cubes

 

Supplies
  • 1 cocktail shaker (for the cocktail)
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 strainer
  • 1 cocktail glass for serving

PREPARATION

Preparation
  1. Chop the strawberries and put them in a saucepan together with the sugar and a tablespoon of water.
  2. Heat the strawberries while stirring and press them against the inside edge of the pan with the back of a spoon to smash them into pulp.
  3. Add the tomato juice and let the syrup simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the syrup through a sieve into a bowl to cool.

 

For the cocktail (with alcohol)
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the vodka, cooled strawberry syrup with tomato juice and the Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce to the shaker.
  3. Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Cool a cocktail glass with ice cubes and pour the cocktail from the shaker through a sieve into the glass.

 

For the mocktail (without alcohol)
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the water, cooled strawberry syrup with tomato juice and the Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce to the shaker.
  3. Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Cool a cocktail glass with ice cubes and pour the cocktail from the shaker through a sieve into the glass.
