French toast with strawberries

French toast with delicious, fresh strawberries and cream cheese. This is the perfect breakfast for the weekend!

— INGREDIENTS—

pane per tramezzini (or 8 slices white bread)
2 large eggs
punnet Beekers Berries strawberries
200 gr cream cheese
80 gr sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
250 ml milk
butter

— RECIPE —

Cut the 3 slices into half if you use the pane per tramezzini bread. If you use white bread, make sure you remove the crusts first. After that, you can roll the slices with a rolling pin untill they are flat. Take one slice and create a horizontal stripe with the cream cheese on the bottom. Make it a nice, thick layer! Cut the washed strawberries into pieces and spoon these onto the cream cheese. Now carefully roll them up and spread some cream cheese on the ends to seal it. Do this with all the other slices!

Beat the eggs in a bowl and pour in the milk and beat it untill it is one mixture. Put a baking pan on the stove and let the butter melt slowly. Place the rolls one by one in the egg mixture and roll them through it. This way you ensure that the rolls absorb the mixture well. Now the baking process can begin! Place the rolls into the pan and bake them for about 2 to 3 minutes. Roll them around regularly so they brown evenly and remain nicely round. Meanwhile, you may mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. After the rolls are nicely baked, you can roll them through the sugar. Put them on a plate and add some strawberries as a topping.

Et voilà: enjoy!
