American pancakes

These American pancakes are a true delight for the senses, characterised by their irresistible fluffiness and sweet taste. They make for the ultimate weekend breakfast treat, and the good news is that you can whip up these American pancakes with just a few everyday ingredients in no time.   • 1 whisk or mixer
  • 1 ladle

Preparation

  1. Heat the frying pan and melt the butter.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, eggs, caster sugar, and vanilla sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add the melted butter to the mixture and mix with the whisk.
  4. Gradually add the milk while continuing to mix. Ensure the mixture remains airy.
  5. Heat the pan again and melt a knob of butter in it.
  6. Use a ladle to place a scoop of the batter in the center of the pan.
  7. Once bubbles appear, flip the pancake.
  8. Place the pancake on a plate once it is golden brown.
  9. Optionally, gently press some blueberries into the batter in the pan.
  10. Continue making pancakes until the batter is used up.
  11. Decorate the stack of American pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
  12. Add some maple syrup or honey.
